How the New Covian Voting Process Works:

Elections for the Parliament can be initiated through a vote of no-confidence or a mandatory 2-month expiration for each elected parliament. 

Each registered* citizen that wishes to run for a seat in the Parliament must contact the Elections Commissioner. Please note that the ballot is arranged by party and no-affiliation will put you at the bottom. Write-in candidates will be given ONE SPACE at the bottom of the ballot.

Elections for a Citizen Admin can be initiated by an Admin in the case of a vacancy or by the Prime Minister. The PM is also permitted to appoint a Citizen Admin with the Permission of the Admin Team and a simple majority-vote in Parliament. 

On Election Day, citizens are e-mailed their ballots by the Main Admin or Elections Commissioner. Once you have replied with your choice, we will send you a confirmation email that requires a YES/NO answer. Any fraud will be preserved as Admins & the Election Commissioner will share an e-mail address by the first election. 

Admin Note: We are also developing a Judicial System, with a Supreme Court (and possibly lower courts). We are in discussions in whether Justices should be appointed by the PM or elected.

New Cove is a Parliamentary Republic. It is composed of 2 Admins and 1 Elected Citizen Admin. Admins make sure the site is functioning correctly and that citizens are not displeased.

The Head of the Government is the Prime Minister. The PM is selected as the leader of the largest party or coalition in the Parliament.

Districts are arranged by immigration date. Meaning, you're basically born with a district. A re-assignment will only be available every 3 months to citizens that qualify. To qualify, please contact the Admin.
